Overview
As a Welder Fabricator, your role is to create metal structures and products using welding and fabrication techniques. You will need to have good GMAW and FCAW skills along with grinding, drilling, cutting and plasma metal removal processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality production with minimal rework, meeting efficiency and production goals.
- Assist and guide other fabricators to ensure consistent quality and teamwork skills.
- Fit, tack, and weld fabrications to completion, verifying dimensions for accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and promote a safe work environment.
- Identify issues, propose solutions, and present data-driven recommendations.
- Foster teamwork, provide support, and respond constructively to feedback.
- Operate welding equipment and machinery safely and effectively, adhering to established procedures and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to address any issues or concerns related to welding processes or product quality.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality assurance, and workplace conduct.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with additional technical certification or vocational training in welding preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of welding principles, metallurgy, and material properties.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with welding equipment and tools, including welding machines, torches, grinders, and measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
