Overview
The Tool Clerk Repairman is responsible for repairing and returning company hand tools such as grinders, drills, and chipping guns. The role involves maintaining records, checking tools for damage, and keeping an inventory of parts.
Responsibilities
- Maintain records of withdrawals, returns, breakage, reconditioning, and other pertinent information.
- Check tools for breakage and repair or recondition as necessary.
- Trace misplaced or misdirected tools.
- Keep an inventory of parts on hand and other parts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, and/or 12 months of training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- No certificates, licenses, or registrations required.
