Overview

BLM GROUP USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to support innovative companies by performing equipment installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at customer sites. The role emphasizes excellent customer service and maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales staff in servicing BLM equipment.
  • Install new equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and service of equipment for customers.
  • Document all service performed on the equipment and future service needs.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate BLM GROUP software capabilities to customers.
  • Prepare time sheets, service reports, and installation forms accurately and timely.
  • Track expenses and complete expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and operate within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines.
  • Communicate with other departments as necessary.
  • Work overtime as required by workload and customer necessity.
  • Travel up to 100% as assigned by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree in a technical discipline preferred or comparable military experience.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar technical position.
  • At least one year of experience in a customer service role.
  • Experience with Trumpf laser machines, Amada Laser, Mazak laser, or similar laser machinery is accepted.
  • A clear driving record with no more than two minor moving violations in three years and no major violations in the last seven years.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to understand and use I/O structure for technical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to effectively utilize electric/electronic test/measurement equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending technical information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
