Overview

As a Mechanic at Northern Tool + Equipment, your primary responsibility will be to service and repair products brought to the store, while promoting strong customer relations and a positive work environment. The company is dedicated to serving tradespeople and ensuring they have the right tools for their jobs.

Responsibilities

• Source & order parts for customers.
• Diagnose and repair small engines/equipment.
• Maintain current knowledge of Northern Tool + Equipment's national and private label brands.
• Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience repairing and maintaining small engines.
• Ability to clearly explain the diagnosis and repair of the machine to the customer.
• Ability to recognize and observe all safety and security procedures.
• Desire to treat others with respect and contribute to building a positive team spirit.
• Drive to work with integrity and uphold company values.
• Strong organizational skills and fluency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of small engine theory (2 and 4 stroke): lubrication, cooling, ignition and fuel systems.
• Certifications in major manufacture brands like Honda, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton.
• Master certification is a plus.
• Extensive experience with electrical systems, plunger driven or axial pressure washer pumps and unloader systems, hydraulic theory, and associated diagnostic equipment and procedures.

• Schedule Requirements: Mon-Fri, 9 AM–5 PM
• Spanish Language Skills preferred
