Overview
Nabors is a leading provider of advanced technology for the energy industry, operating in about 20 countries. The Technician II role involves performing diversified mechanical tasks related to product assembly, troubleshooting, and installation of various components and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform product assembly tasks including component repair and troubleshooting of systems.
- Commission and execute planned and unplanned work orders.
- Install Canrig components and equipment at well sites.
- Assist higher level technicians and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Use various hand tools and measuring devices for repairs.
- Troubleshoot using multimeters, amp probes, meggers, and scopes.
- Travel extensively to customer locations, both land and offshore.
- Maintain and complete documentation including Service and Expense Reports.
- Visit drilling rigs within the technician’s geographic regions.
- Comply with company safety and quality programs.
- Attend scheduled training classes as required.
- Provide 24-hour on-call technical support while on rotation.
- Engage in customer relations and field sales of CANRIG products.
- Complete required paperwork and billing accurately and timely.
- Maintain issued truck parts and tool inventory.
Requirements
- High school diploma and trade/technical school diploma or 2 years related experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Drilling Systems, or Electronics.
- Fluency in English with the ability to read, write, and present information effectively.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and compute rates and percentages.
- General knowledge of word processing software and email messaging.
- Valid Driver’s License and all required safety certifications.
