Overview
The Marvin Group is a leading defense contractor specializing in the development and manufacturing of systems for military aerospace and vehicles. The Electrical Assembler II will be responsible for manufacturing Build-to-Print Alternate Mission Equipment for military applications, focusing on assembly, testing, and modification of various components in a collaborative and process-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate various types of equipment and tools to fabricate and assemble electrical assemblies.
- Perform manual and computer-controlled operations for assembly and testing as required.
- Understand and use planning instructions and assembly drawings.
- Follow all policies and procedures to protect products from Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) damage.
- Maintain Hi-REL soldering certification and follow specifications and procedures.
- Learn and apply various trainings into daily work.
- Verify that all components and equipment are within tolerance before use.
- Use Lean and 6S methodologies to improve and maintain an efficient work area.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
- IPC-610 and IPC-620 certifications or equivalent required.
- J-STD-001 certification required for solder role.
- Ability to perform moderate, demanding, physical and repetitious work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to generate new ideas.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
