Overview
The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor, is seeking an Electrical Wiring Assembler III to manufacture Build-to-Print Alternate Mission Equipment for military applications. This role involves assembling, testing, and modifying various electrical and electromechanical components in a collaborative and process-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate various types of equipment and tools to fabricate and assemble electrical assemblies.
- Perform manual and computer-controlled operations for assembly and testing as required.
- Understand and use planning instructions and assembly drawings.
- Follow all policies and procedures to protect products from Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) damage.
- Obtain Hi-REL soldering certification and adhere to specifications and procedures.
- Learn and apply various trainings into daily work.
- Verify that all components and equipment are within tolerance before use.
- Use Lean and 6S methodologies to improve work area efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
- IPC-610 Certification: The Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
- IPC-620 Certification: Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies or equivalent.
- J-STD-001 Certification: Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies required for Solder role.
- Ability to perform moderate, demanding, physical and repetitious work.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
