Overview

Timken is seeking a Heat Treat Millwright to join their team, where you can have an immediate impact on improving industrial equipment efficiency and contribute to the future of motion. This role involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting on furnaces and shot blast equipment in the Heat Treat Department.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and rebuild oil pumps and heat exchangers associated with quenching systems.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on furnaces and quench oil systems.
  • Install and change the layout and setup of machines and mechanical equipment.
  • Plan and perform general building maintenance and construction operations.
  • Keep machines and equipment in efficient operating condition.
  • Dismantle, move, crate, and install machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Use rigging equipment to aid in moving machines and equipment.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools for maintenance and construction work.
  • Have basic knowledge of Arc, Mig, Tig welding, and brazing.
  • Use a cutting torch efficiently.
  • Use measuring devices for erecting machine foundations and installing equipment.
  • Rig, move, install, and repair large, complicated equipment.
  • Work from prints, drawings, and specifications provided by manufacturers or engineering.
  • Perform mechanical work on machine tools, furnaces, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform fabrication including welding, metal working, and pipe fitting.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and any shift.
  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent military training or 2 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Ability to use shop math, read blueprints, and use precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to perform fabrication of welded metal and pipe fitting.
  • Requires heavy lifting and working in confined/enclosed spaces.

  • This position may require access to US export controlled technical data.
  • Eligible candidates include US Citizens, Green Card holders, and Asylees.
