Join Silgan Containers, America’s largest metal food packaging producer, as an Industrial Mechanic in Edison, NJ. We’re looking for skilled professionals to operate and maintain precision tooling and CNC equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain can lines, performing and documenting quality checks and measurements.
• Diagnose mechanical and quality problems, determine necessary repairs, and restore malfunctioning equipment.
• Handle pallets, tooling, barrels, boxes, and cartons as required.
• Record product and equipment inspection to ensure quality production.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and report any hazards.
• Work closely with supervisors and fellow employees on improvement teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Mechanic.
• 2+ years as an Industrial Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
