Overview

Alaska Airlines is seeking a Line Aircraft Technician to join their Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) division, which has received the FAA’s Diamond Award for safety and excellence for nearly 20 years. This role involves the repair and maintenance of aircraft, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and perform maintenance on aircraft, including dismantling, repairing, assembly, and erection of machinery and mechanical devices.
  • Perform all work in a prompt timely manner, adhering to all attendance reliability policies and procedures.
  • Exercise the authority of an Airman Certificate in signing maintenance documents for airworthiness release or return to service.
  • Act as cockpit coordinator to ensure safe operation of aircraft systems from the flight deck.
  • Ensure that a clean, safe, and orderly work area is maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues.
  • Ability to consistently lift 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company procedures.
  • Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
  • Flexible to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
