Overview

Komatsu is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for their shop in South Plainfield, New Jersey. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, with a focus on advanced diagnostics and customer service, within a company that values innovation and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostic and repair work on heavy equipment.
• Repair, rebuild, or replace engines and major components.
• Utilize knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Maintain clear and accurate service notes for work orders.
• Participate in writing customer quotes and delivering excellent customer service.
• Mentor less experienced mechanics.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Advanced diagnostic and repair skills.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and various systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft products and industry software.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Physical ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
