Overview
As a Field Service Representative at Stiles Machinery, you will utilize your technical, electrical, and mechanical skills to install, troubleshoot, and support advanced machinery and software in real-world environments. Stiles has over 60 years of experience helping manufacturers across North America increase efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Install, start up, and instruct customers on technology represented by Stiles.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in the field.
- Document work performed, problems encountered, and customer concerns clearly and promptly.
- Recommend improvements pertaining to reliability, performance, and long-term operation.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and serve as a technical partner and problem solver.
- Assist in training customers and Stiles service representatives on proper equipment use and maintenance.
- Maintain showroom equipment and assist with customer demos as needed.
- Continuously develop your skills and knowledge of the technology while working alongside vendor technicians and experienced Stiles team members.
- Travel regionally averaging four days per week, with overtime and mileage reimbursement.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel regularly.
- A flexible schedule and a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- Two years of technical schooling in electronics or a related field, equivalent hands-on experience, a related associate’s degree, or a willingness to learn.
- Prior experience in CNC, PC-based controls, machine service, maintenance, or operation or completion of a Field Service training program.
