Overview

Chromalloy is a global engineering and solutions company that provides aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions for aircraft engines and gas turbines. The Aerospace Repair Inspector B position on the 3rd shift involves inspecting critical turbine components to ensure quality and compliance with production standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect blades and vanes of jet engines.
• Complete incoming and final inspections to ensure production processes are followed correctly.
• Utilize inspection and test equipment to verify products to specification.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on various part types.
• Conduct NDT inspections including airflow, surface finish, magnetoscope, and core inspection.
• Communicate discrepancies in product/process/documentation to support continuous improvement.
• Suggest opportunities for improvement within the company.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• Must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
• Proven ability to take measurements.
• Previous experience in basic dimensional and visual inspection required.
• Certify visual acuity to NAS-410 (corrective lenses allowed for eye exam).

Additional Information

• This is an hourly position with Local 475.
• Rate of pay is $27.26/hr with a 15% premium for working 3rd shift hours.
• 3rd shift is Sunday through Thursday, 11:00pm to 7:00am.
• Must be able to train on 1st shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm.
• Minimum lift requirements: 35 pounds from floor to waist, 35 pounds from waist to shoulder, and 40 pounds pull.
• Work environment includes exposure to moderate cold and heat, loud noise, fumes, and moving equipment.
