Overview
The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, routine, and reactive maintenance tasks at Metem, a GE Power business that specializes in cooling hole technologies for the power generation and aerospace industries. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently on various maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform predictive, preventative, corrective and routine maintenance on production equipment
- Repair, maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines
- Repair, assemble and install electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic systems
- Calibrate process control equipment and instrumentation
- Rebuild, install, and make field repairs on centrifugal and diaphragm pumps
- Maintain motor starters, variable frequency drives, and servo controls
- Install piping, conduit, and raceway systems
- Perform facilities and building maintenance
- Document work activities using CMM
Requirements
- Associate degree or Trade School in a technical field and a minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment OR a high school diploma/GED equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work 3rd shift 10pm-6am
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends, as required
- Ability and willingness to qualify for/utilize specialized personal protective equipment as required for the position
- Ability and willingness to obey all safety rules, including wearing personal protective equipment
