Overview
STS Line Maintenance is hiring A&P Mechanics at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to support their line maintenance operations. The company is one of the largest line maintenance support providers in the United States, focusing on high quality and reliable aircraft maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads.
- Work in close partnership with field airlines, flight crew, and other Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
- Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations and company policies.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair different transport category aircraft airframes and engines.
- Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results.
- Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
- Work outdoors and in inclement weather as required.
- Perform maintenance on various Commercial and Large Regional aircraft.
Requirements
- Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications (A&P) with no history of infractions.
- Recent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft is a plus.
- Previous experience working on Boeing 737 or Airbus A300, A320, A330, or A220 is desired.
- Gen Fams on the 737, A300, A320, A330, or A220 will get you a HIGHER PAY RATE.
- Own set of standard line maintenance tools is required.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and able to perform with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work standing, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must pass background check and drug & alcohol test.
- Must have basic-to-mid-level computer and organizational skills.
- Experience working under a FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 experience is highly desired.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems on aircraft airframes and engines.
- Versatility and flexibility to work various schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
