Overview
The Electronics Technician position requires a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in hardware and cable assembly, troubleshooting, and repair. The role demands strong expertise in cable debugging and adherence to wiring standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform hardware and cable assembly, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and modification.
- Debug and isolate faults in cables and hardware, implementing corrective actions.
- Assemble and terminate MIL-DTL-38999 and D-Sub connectors and cable harnesses.
- Route and install cables while adhering to wiring standards and best practices.
- Solder cables, connectors, and PCB-mounted components with a focus on quality and reliability.
- Use electronic test and measurement equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, and protocol analyzers.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
- Follow industry standards and quality procedures related to cable and hardware assembly.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in hardware and cable assembly.
- Strong expertise in cable and hardware debugging and fault isolation.
- Proven experience in assembling and terminating MIL-DTL-38999 and D-Sub connectors.
- Proficient in cable routing and installation.
- Skilled in soldering cables, connectors, and PCB-mounted components.
- Hands-on experience using electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Solid understanding of electrical communication interfaces such as RS-232, RS-422, and USB.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and quality procedures.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is preferred.
