Overview

At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, we are seeking a Machine Operator 1 for the 3rd shift. This role involves operating various production machines and contributing to the manufacturing process in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of production machines including CMM, polish wheel, grinding machines, and EDM.
• Read and interpret process sheets.
• Deburr and clean parts.
• Make minor offset changes with oversight.
• Utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document results.
• Complete Daily Walk Around (DWA) and utilize communication log.
• Move about the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment.
• Transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Run all equipment in the entire work loop and produce product at rate per standard work.
• Carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Proficient with the use of machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Aptitude for mathematics, including the ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
• 1+ years of machine operator experience preferred.
