Overview

IPS is seeking a dynamic Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment while delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves working independently and alongside skilled technicians, utilizing advanced tools and technology to provide unmatched customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment.
• Perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
• Replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, gearboxes, and torque critical components using specialized tooling.
• Perform essential diagnostic tests using portable electronic equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment utilizing various cleaning methods.
• Adhere to strict safety standards while working independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures.
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical findings professionally.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable record; willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a significant plus.
