Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Mechanical Assembler - Switchboard Technician in Smyrna, GA. This role is available to military-affiliated job seekers and involves assembling and testing electrical control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wire, assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies and components in electrical control equipment.
• Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection.
• Use established procedures to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of assembled units.
• Assemble wiring panels and sub-assemblies based on electrical drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards.
• Understand power flow and comply with regulations when wiring switchboards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and conduct root cause analysis.
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive work culture by complying with all safety policies.
• Maintain expected progress of jobs and communicate issues or part shortages.
• Cross-train and flex across functions based on development and business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in an assembly-related role or completion of a one-year Technical School diploma.
• Basic understanding of wiring diagrams, schematics, and power flow.
• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing drawings and instructions.
• Experience with measuring tools and hardware assembly.
• Must be able to lift 35lbs regularly and work overtime as required.
• Effective communication skills in written and verbal formats.

Additional Information

• Work hours are from 6:30AM to 3PM.
• Position is on-site in Smyrna, GA.
• No relocation benefit is offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles.
