Overview

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer in the refrigeration and food equipment segment, focusing on innovative glass doors and merchandising technologies. The Piper I role involves performing brazing to install refrigeration components and assisting with unit layout and setup.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install copper and steel tubing.
• Use Torch to apply solder, braze copper to copper pipes.
• Operate Copper Saw.
• Operate Tube Bender.
• Make flares and suction piping.
• Create discharge piping.
• Pressurize and leak check units.
• Use tools such as tube cutters, hand vise, power benders, files, and flaring/swedging tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
