Overview

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer in the refrigeration and food equipment segment, known for its innovative glass doors and merchandising technologies. The Piper I position involves performing brazing to install refrigeration components and assisting with unit layout and setup.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install copper and steel tubing.
• Use torch to apply solder and braze copper to copper pipes.
• Operate copper saw and tube bender.
• Make flares and suction/discharge piping.
• Pressurize and leak check units.
• Utilize tools such as tube cutters, hand vise, power benders, files, and flaring/swedging tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and apply concepts of algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
