Overview
The CNC Industrial Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and conventional equipment to perform precision operations, ensuring machinery operation, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a proactive approach to learning and compliance with maintenance manuals.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and conventional equipment for complex operations.
- Load programs and set tool compensation offsets.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Document actions and maintain production logs.
- Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting with related tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of experience as an industrial CNC machine operator.
- CNC operator certificate or a 2-year degree in a relevant field.
- Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Good mechanical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to select fixtures and tooling to machine to specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds.
