Overview
The Manufacturing Technician B position involves using technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment while ensuring quality product output through the setup of various production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, and hydraulic systems for various equipment.
- Perform machining or bench operations to alter and repair tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and guarding.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment; perform preventative maintenance.
- Responsible for statistical process charting, interpretation, and trend-analysis to adjust processes or equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Intermediate troubleshooting skills using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
- Good teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility.
- High School diploma or equivalent education and experience.
- 1.5 years of technical experience using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills.
Additional Information
- May be required to lift or carry products, parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights.
- Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
- Ability to perform occasional to frequent physical activities over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
- Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
