Overview

Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, with over 20,000 employees across the United States. They are seeking a Combo Welder for a maintenance position in Pass Christian, MS, responsible for welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components.
• Assemble structural forms such as tanks, pressure vessels, and building parts.
• Select equipment and plan layout for welding.
• Position, align, and fit components together.
• Secure parts in position for welding using bolts, clamps, and tack welds.
• Set up equipment and weld parts.
• May assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• May weld various materials including pipe, sheet metal, and structural steel.
• May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Use cutting torch to cut materials and demo existing assemblies.

Requirements

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in specified skill.
• Must be able to pass 2" Carbon and Stainless Steel Schedule 10 weld test.
• Must be certified as a welder.
• Written pre-employment qualification test required.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation required.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client.
• Safety equipment as required by the client.
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
