Overview
Clean Energy is focused on changing the way the world fuels its vehicles with natural gas, aiming to reduce pollution in the transportation industry. The ASME Welder 1 position involves welding and installing various types of pipes and tubular products while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand plans and specifications, including isometric and orthographic drawings.
- Plan, lay-out, weld, install, test, and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products.
- Produce quality work that meets requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Follow established job-site safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Use appropriate hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, weld, and install all types of pipe.
- Install supports, valves, and other control equipment, and test installed piping systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1–3 years' welding experience preferred.
- Must pass 6G weld test consisting of one coupon: 2-inch Schedule 40 stainless, TIG with argon purge.
- Ability to comprehend safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Moderate math skills required to calculate lengths and dimensions.
- Ability to understand information and perform tasks as discussed.
