Overview

The Pipewelder - RTP position involves welding in various environments, ensuring high-quality welds, and fabricating metal products. Candidates must have experience in welding and be familiar with safety procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Weld in different environments for mechanical piping installation.
  • Perform welding in various positions with a focus on safety.
  • Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.
  • Install and repair various equipment and components.
  • Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
  • Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
  • Knowledge of engineering blueprints and schematics.
  • Pass certification tests on Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, and in the 6G, fixed position.
  • Welds must meet ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements.
  • Experience with Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
  • Ability to work in varying heat and cold conditions and in noise levels at or above 90 decibels.
  • Completion of courses in construction safety.
  • Ability to handle physical workload.
  • Minimum of five years of Pipe Welding experience.
  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
