Overview

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution, seeking skilled and experienced Welders for weekend shifts. The welders will be responsible for adhering to safety regulations and maintaining equipment while working on various welding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts and tack and weld components into assemblies following production orders.
• Execute welds in accordance with company procedures and documents while meeting defined quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
• Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.

Requirements

• Welder Level I: 1–3 years experience or commensurate education from trade school.
• Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified for welding of parts under pressure.
• Ability to read and apply WPS and read drawings.
• Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
• Methodical, organized, and precise.
• Proactive in proposing solutions.
• Ability to perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial setting with exposure to various hazards.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• MIG/TIG @ 6G preferred - minimum of 1 year of pipe welding experience.
• Welder Level II: At least 3–5 years experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
• Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.
• Welder Level III: At least 5+ years experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
• Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard.
• Ability to train other welders and teach them to read and apply WPS.

• Weekend Shift Schedule: Friday-Sunday | 6:00am-6:00pm
• Training Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday
