Overview

Turner Industries is a diversified industrial contractor headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, with over 20,000 employees. They are seeking a NCCER Boilermaker Level III for a full-time position in the Deer Park, TX area to assemble and repair boilers and related equipment according to blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and disassembles boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels according to blueprint specifications.
• Locates and marks reference points for columns and plates on foundations.
• Attaches rigging or signals crane operators to lift parts to specified positions.
• Aligns structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frames.
• Bolts structures and sections together.
• Positions drums and headers into supports or bolts supports to frames.
• Aligns water tubes and connects and expands tube ends to drums and headers.
• Bolts casing sections and installs various fabricated parts.
• Installs trays in process towers and completes assembly of water tube boilers.
• Assists in testing assembled vessels and performs additional assignments as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have NCCER credentials.
• Level III certification.
• One to four years of experience in specified skill.
• Basic knowledge of insulator hand tools, tape measure, cutting tools, and power tools.
• Must pass post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Must comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
