Overview

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is seeking a Rigger for their jobsite in Baytown, TX. OPD is an engineering and construction company specializing in the natural gas and petrochemical industries, known for its integrity and efficiency in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment.
• Attaching loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment.
• Manually handling and securely applying rigging equipment.
• Attaching and detaching loads effectively.
• Monitoring and maintaining all rigging equipment.
• Communicating effectively with the rigging team and crane operator.
• Familiarity with standard crane hand signals.
• Assessing weights of loads and equipment needed for safe lifting.

Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of experience as a rigger or ironworker.
• NCCER Rigger Certification Level 1.
• Knowledge of crane signals (hand and verbal).
• Ability to follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Willingness to travel with extended periods away from home in remote areas.
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week when needed.
