Overview

Air Liquide Large Industries is hiring a Production Technician in Pasadena, TX, to maintain plant production, operate efficiently, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold safety standards. The company provides industrial gas and energy solutions vital to industrial production, operating over 2,000 miles of pipelines in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Apply understanding of plant safety rules and company safety policies.
• Foster a shared safety culture by modeling supportive safety practices.
• Identify potential maintenance needs and enter them into the work order system.
• Perform work in alignment with standard operating and maintenance procedures.
• Partner with contractors and co-workers to support compliance with safety policies.
• Grow knowledge and ability in all plant operations including processes and equipment.
• Learn and follow standard operating procedures and read technical documents.
• Keep accurate records and adhere to documentation policies.
• Apply knowledge of control board and operator interface computer consoles.
• Perform operator rounds, water samples, truck loading, and operations PM's.
• Contribute to high housekeeping and organizational standards.
• Support additional team needs as requested by Plant Management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work extended hours and shift work as needed.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
• Technical Associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years of technical training or operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants.
• Knowledge in proper methods of locking out and isolating equipment.
• Ability to use computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work in a team environment with a self-motivated attitude.
• Good verbal/written communication skills.
• Qualified in operation of forklift, man lift, and overhead crane preferred.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
