Overview

Watco is seeking a Liquid Operator in Houston, TX, to help maintain the supply chain through operations involving liquid products transfer. The role emphasizes safety and compliance with regulations while offering opportunities for training and career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a manner where safety and environment are of the highest importance.
• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
• Climb onto top and underneath railcars to inspect and seal them using a checklist.
• Work on barges to assist in hooking up product and steam lines.
• Perform structural inspections as required.
• Prepare equipment for product transfer.
• Operate pipelines, compressors, auxiliary equipment, engines, pump stations, pumps, valves, and other related equipment.
• Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters.
• Complete all applicable documentation and recordkeeping.
• Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
• Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
• Must be available for shift work when applicable, overtime when required, and must be available to respond during working and non-working hours as required.
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed.
• Knowledge of company safety programs.
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card upon hire.
• Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent.

Additional Information

• Starting Pay: $21.50 per hour
• Schedule: 12 hour shifts, rotating day and night shifts
