Overview

PALA Interstate, LLC is seeking a Seal Technician to assist skilled construction workers in various tasks related to the installation and repair of seals on oil storage tanks. The role involves performing unskilled manual duties and may require transferring between tasks as projects progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled construction workers in performing assigned duties.
• Install primary and secondary seals on oil storage tanks.
• Install and repair aluminum domes.
• Follow specific work orders from a skilled superintendent or foreman.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials, and specified work areas as needed.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to/from and around the work site.
• Load and unload materials from the company truck by hand or with assisting devices.
• Use air impacts, cordless tools, and various hand tools.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement.
• Apply caulking compounds to seal crevices.
• Assemble parts and materials for placement into rim space.
• Perform Hole Watch and Fire Watch duties.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Trade School program preferred but not required.
• Ability to use air impacts, cordless tools, and various hand tools.
• Certification to operate equipment such as forklifts or bobcats is required.
