Overview

The Molder position at G&W Electric involves shaping molds using various machines and requires physical strength and attention to detail. G&W Electric is a global leader in engineered electrical power grid solutions, focused on employee success and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Select and assemble appropriate flask equipment and patterns.
  • Position patterns in flasks, fill flasks with sand, and ram the sand around the pattern using tools and machines.
  • Prepare molds for drawing of patterns and repair damage to mold impressions as necessary.
  • Select and set in position appropriate cores and/or chills, and vent molds as necessary.
  • Assemble cope and drag sections of mold and place mold on pouring conveyor.
  • Report production quantities and times for each work order.
  • Report worn pattern equipment to supervisors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or combination of work experience and skill development.
  • Ideally has experience in a foundry or manufacturing.
  • Math, computer, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Able to read and understand verbal instructions in English.

  • Work schedule is from 5:00am to 1:30pm.
