Overview
The Molder position at G&W Electric involves shaping molds using various machines and requires physical strength and attention to detail. G&W Electric is a global leader in engineered electrical power grid solutions, focused on employee success and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Select and assemble appropriate flask equipment and patterns.
- Position patterns in flasks, fill flasks with sand, and ram the sand around the pattern using tools and machines.
- Prepare molds for drawing of patterns and repair damage to mold impressions as necessary.
- Select and set in position appropriate cores and/or chills, and vent molds as necessary.
- Assemble cope and drag sections of mold and place mold on pouring conveyor.
- Report production quantities and times for each work order.
- Report worn pattern equipment to supervisors.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or combination of work experience and skill development.
- Ideally has experience in a foundry or manufacturing.
- Math, computer, and communication skills are necessary.
- Able to read and understand verbal instructions in English.
