Overview

Locate Technicians at GridHawk LLC are responsible for accurately locating underground facilities such as telephone lines, electric power lines, and gas lines. This role is essential for compliance with client and state requirements, requiring both independent and team work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Locates underground facilities using a transmitter and hooking up to buried facilities.
• Works in various terrains and weather conditions around construction zones and residential areas.
• Interprets job order tickets, blueprints, and maps to perform duties efficiently.
• Performs locates and emergency/on-call locates during regular, overtime, and holiday hours.
• Communicates effectively with customers, co-employees, and third parties.
• Ensures a damage-free environment through communication with management and utility customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency (GED).
• State issued driver's license.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher multiple types of prints.
• Vacuum truck experience A+.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs.
• Ability to walk/stand for multiple hours a day.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Pass a background screening (no violations within the last 5 years).
• Pass a DOT drug test.

Additional Information

• 10-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
