Overview
As a Helper in the Operations and Construction Department for New York City, you will experience the personal challenge of working for a world-class organization and leader in the Utilities and Energy Industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform traffic control and flagging functions.
- Perform manual-laboring work such as digging, backfilling, breaking and removing pavement (asphalt/concrete).
- Work with heavy pneumatic tools and provide physical assistance for setting up and operating underground tools.
- Perform laboring functions in connection with higher-classified personnel, including strenuous work throughout the day.
- Perform similar or less-skilled work as assigned.
Requirements
- Three years of similar or related work; plumbing experience preferred.
- Should be mechanically inclined and capable of performing strenuous work.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid CDL license if hired.
- Must successfully complete a DOT Physical, Respirator Fit Level 1, and various training programs.
- Valid Driver’s License required with a safe driving history.
