Unitex is seeking a skilled Class A Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join their team in Perth Amboy, NJ. The company has over 100 years of experience in the medical uniform and linen rental industry and offers a stable workplace with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment with little to no supervision.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Collaborate with team members on equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications.
• Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures to improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and parts inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Class A Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
