Overview
The Piping Superintendent will direct and organize direct hire work on a complex semiconductor fabrication project for Intel Corporation in Chandler, AZ. This role involves ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence while supervising field operations and coordinating engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure all work is executed safely.
- Enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules established by field construction management.
- Coordinate availability of tools, materials, and equipment for safe and efficient installation.
- Plan direct hire work to coincide with the overall project schedule and budget.
- Monitor installation of materials and equipment for conformance with specifications.
- Support Construction Field Engineers and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering design documents.
- Coordinate engineering solutions with Field Engineering and Craft Professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Expert knowledge of piping installation, welding, NDE, hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, and turnover.
- Ability to drive piping work using AWP-plans by system and test boundary.
- Experience in managing constraints, sequences, and protecting system completions.
- Skills in controlling productivity and rework, understanding weld rates, spool readiness, and material flow.
- Ability to integrate across disciplines and coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams.
