Job Description

Overview

The job involves Quality Control inspection and documentation of Process Piping systems within a cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with various regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate compliance of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect all fabricated and installed piping, mechanical equipment, skids, modular systems, and components per project specifications.
  • Review and approve Quality Plans, ITPs, PQR, WPS, WPQ, inspection procedures, and records for installed pipe.
  • Perform inspections of mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for alignment and proper functioning.
  • Prepare reports and notify appropriate personnel of equipment problems and deficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with codes and standards for valves, tubing, fittings, instruments, and components.
  • Retain records for NDE personnel qualifications and certifications for approval.
  • Verify qualifications of inspectors under subcontractors for compliance with project specifications.
  • Initiate and update Surveillance Reports and Non-Conformance Reports based on inspection findings.
  • Participate in turnover package documentation.
  • Perform periodic quality checks for all welding to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Verify that all welders are certified according to project specifications.
  • Monitor Subcontractors Welder Performance Qualification Record for trends or risks.

Requirements

  • Complete understanding of semiconductor process systems including ultra-high purity and cleaned for oxygen service stainless steel systems.
  • Ability to competently inspect pipe/tube welds and systems.
  • Knowledge of field and workshop fabrication/construction protocols and industry standard specifications.
  • Experience and knowledge of processed piping systems.
  • Ability to read P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
  • CWI certification required.
  • Familiarity with B31.3 and ASME Section 9.
  • Computer skills required: MS Office, Bluebeam, PowerPoint.
