Overview

Austin Industrial is a leading provider of maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to industrial companies across the U.S. The General Laborer position involves performing various labor-intensive tasks in an industrial setting under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform strenuous manual labor, including lifting 25+ lbs., bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in heat.
• Shovel bituminous concrete or other materials into construction areas.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix.
• Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and securing the site daily.
• Handle and store materials.
• Load and unload trucks and haul materials.
• Follow safety and incident reporting procedures.
• Possess some knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies used in an industrial setting.
• Have some knowledge of first aid and safety precautions.
• Work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
• Communicate orally and in writing.
• Use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No minimum education requirements.
• A valid state ID or driver's license is required.
• 12+ months of experience in an industrial setting preferred.
