Overview
Jacobs is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to work on projects that are crucial to clients' businesses, focusing on industrial and commercial facilities. The role emphasizes technical quality and collaboration within a multi-discipline team to design various systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.
- Gain familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Develop and design equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in pipe stress analysis and support design.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Proficient in pipe stress analysis software such as AutoPIPE and Caesar II.
- Proficient with finite element analysis (FEA) and associated software such as FE-Pipe and NozzlePro.
- Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
