Job Description

Overview

As a Hose Coil / Pressure Test Operator (PAF), you will operate hose coiling and pressure-test equipment to ensure products meet manufacturing specifications and quality standards. This role involves working onsite on the 2nd shift and collaborating with various teams to resolve equipment and production issues, directly impacting throughput, scrap reduction, and product safety.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and coil hose on reels, verifying part numbers, hose size, job numbers, dimensions, and tag colors per specifications.
  • Identify and remove nonconforming hose, tape and cut out defects, and record scrap and flaw attributes on inspection sheets.
  • Measure OD, ID, and pitch; prepare labeling and cut burst/periodic samples as required.
  • Set up and operate pressure test equipment, configure jaws/mandrels/prefill/cycle times, and record PSI results.
  • Place tested hose into the quality inspection area and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workstation following 5S and safety regulations; report production issues to the direct lead.
  • Perform assigned production tasks and assist with related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
  • Willingness to complete 1–8 weeks of on-the-job training (may extend to ~10 weeks).
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read/record inspection data.
  • Good verbal communication, math, and reading/writing skills.
  • Attention to detail, continuous mental/visual/audio focus, and ability to monitor machine sounds for anomalies.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform regular lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, reaching, twisting, and other physical tasks.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
