Overview

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer in the refrigeration and food equipment segment, seeking a Piping Trainer to teach and evaluate training programs while assisting in curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct both lecture and hands-on learning activities for trainees including brazing training, TIG welding training, laser welding training, pipe routing, torque training, and production standards training.
• Complete and process thorough evaluations that will be instrumental in the training process.
• Maintain accurate record keeping.
• Schedule and conduct recertification training.
• Act as key contact for the curriculum development process, including developing hands-on learning activities and reviewing curriculum for accuracy.
• Conduct daily audits on the production floor to ensure training content and methods are accurately applied.

Requirements

• Perfect safety record.
• 5+ years as a Piper 2.
• Previous experience assisting with new hire training.
• Previous experience in leading training activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Track record of delivering results.
• Ability to influence without authority.
• Patience, perseverance, and passion to teach and develop others.
• Credibility and experience working effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and coaching skills.
