Overview
Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company focused on advancing agricultural productivity and reimagining vital infrastructure. They are seeking an Experienced Structural Welder to join their Global Utility Division, where the individual will weld metal components to fabricate or repair products.
Responsibilities
- Fuse metal structural components together by means of arc welding.
- Perform welding operations with limited planning from blueprints or specifications.
- Conduct some welding on objects with moderate safety and load requirements.
- Move pole shafts using an overhead crane and gather parts and materials.
- Perform other duties as directed by leaders and management.
- Participate in department safety and demonstrate excellent safety practices.
Requirements
- One month of previous hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Successful completion of an internal welding test.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints including weld requirement symbology (preferred).
- One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (preferred).

Additional Information
- Available Shifts: 2nd - Monday to Thursday 5:00pm - 3:30am; 4th - Friday to Sunday 5:00am - 5:00pm.
- Starting Pay: $26.24/hr with a $2/hr night shift differential.
