Overview

Hermeus is a venture-backed defense aviation company focused on rapid iterative prototyping to build the fastest aircraft. The Structures Integration Technician will be integral in the assembly, integration, and testing of flight and ground hardware within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of work orders, quality buyoffs, and material handling.
• Execute a wide variety of mechanical and electromechanical sub-assemblies with minimal instruction.
• Perform critical structural operations such as drilling, reaming, countersinking, deburring, and installing precision fasteners.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fluid, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
• Provide cross-functional support across departments.
• Build and refine custom tooling and fixtures for builds.
• Deliver in-the-moment engineering feedback and improve processes.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and streamline operations.
• Operate independently in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, startup, or fast-paced prototyping/manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience in flight hardware assembly and production support.
• Ability to work across technical areas including fluids, inventory support, structural assembly, and manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency with engineering drawings, schematics, GD&T, and hands-on fabrication.
• Familiarity with shop tools, rigging, GSE, and component-level ATP/proof testing.
• Highly self-directed with a track record of working independently.
• Strong understanding of 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles.
