Overview
Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking an Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Structures Inspector to inspect concrete structures and ensure compliance with construction standards, while working alongside a team of project managers, engineers, and technologists to transform capital project execution.
Responsibilities
- Inspect concrete structures and associated items such as bridges, retaining walls, and piles.
- Ensure compliance with approved plans and City, State, and Federal construction and safety standards.
- Review structure shop drawings to ensure they meet contractual requirements.
- Make field inspections to clarify plans when necessary.
- Confer with Engineer of Record, clients, or contractors regarding constructability reviews.
- Make recommendations for changes during constructability reviews and support the RFI process.
- Attend weekly on-site construction meetings.
- Provide photo or video documentation.
- Attend seminars and training courses to stay informed on new developments.
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements
- B.S. or higher degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Construction, or an Associate’s degree with 1 year of experience.
- EIT and 5 years of related paid professional experience, or 5 years of verified structural inspection experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of verified structural inspection experience.
- Relevant Caltrans and Metro inspection certifications are a plus.
- Highway experience, specifically with Caltrans, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Caltrans and Metro’s Policies and Procedures related to Quality.
- Knowledge of standard plans, specifications, and construction manuals.
- Knowledge of cast in place bridge experience and large diameter CIDH piles.
- Strong verbal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
- CMIT, ACI, NICET, APWA certifications are a plus.

- Work location is onsite with clients and partners, with both day and night shift assignments.
