Overview
Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembler Tester B for the 2nd Shift, with core hours from 1:45pm to 11:45pm. The role involves assembling and testing mechanical assemblies for various aerospace customers.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies.
- Organize data and prepare test reports.
- Perform lock wire/safety wire and nameplate.
- Conduct visual inspections and handle defective items per procedures.
- Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, and soldering iron.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and testing schematics.
- Prepare materials including lapping surfaces with proper tooling techniques.
- Identify and assist in process improvements.
- Perform acceptance tests on various units.
- Determine the need for Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Act as department representative during customer audits.
- Use test equipment for in-process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years in assembly within a manufacturing, aerospace, or military environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of testing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical assemblies.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by export regulations.
- Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA.
