Overview
Join our Pipefitter team in South Bend, IN, where you can earn a $3,000 sign-on bonus and receive relocation support. You will be responsible for producing high-quality products and services, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and participating in continuous improvement processes.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and fabricate mechanical piping systems.
- Install and repair hangers and brackets for pipeline installation.
- Create holes in walls, floors, roofs, and panels for pipefitting components.
- Locate and repair leaks in pipeline systems.
- Maintain vacuum furnace systems and components.
- Maintain compressed air systems and components.
- Maintain hot water and steam systems and components.
- Maintain city water and sprinkler piping and components.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems.
- Perform predictive maintenance inspections.
- Perform basic equipment servicing.
- Clean facility and production equipment.
- Perform all work activity safely and in compliance with HSEMS.
- Utilize best practices and appropriate tools for tasks.
- Escalate issues that prevent timely completion of work assignments.
- Sustain a clean and orderly workplace.
- Participate in defining and improving maintenance procedures.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and assist others.
Requirements
- Must have a Journeyman card or 5 or more years equivalent experience in pipefitting.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Math skills demonstrating understanding of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform high-quality welding.
- Ability to work in tight spaces.
- Ability to work at elevation.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures.
- Ability to use transportation equipment at job sites.
- Ability to select and utilize appropriate tools for job tasks.
