Overview

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to join its Minneapolis team, with a strong presence across Chicago and the Midwest. This position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging bridge projects while taking on increasing responsibility in project delivery, client coordination, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the analysis, design, and rehabilitation of bridge structures.
• Develop structural calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform bridge analysis and modelling using industry-standard software.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across transportation infrastructure projects.
• Support project delivery for IDOT, county highway departments, municipalities, and other public-sector clients.
• Assist with mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical work.
• Participate in client meetings, proposal preparation, and business development efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–8+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• PE license required, SE license preferred.
• Experience on DOT and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in steel and concrete bridge design, rehabilitation, and structural analysis.
• Experience with LARSA 4D, LUSAS, SAP2000, CSiBridge, LEAP Bridge, or similar software preferred.
• Knowledge of AASHTO and WisDOT design standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
