Overview

Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. is seeking a qualified structural steel superintendent with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to manage and supervise ironworker crews during structural steel operations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise ironworker crews during erection or demolition of structural steel operations.
• Verify quality of structural steel workmanship with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with fabricators to ensure timely and correct delivery of material to site.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of contract specifications and scopes of work.
• Ensure each operation is compliant with contract drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of local union work rules.
• Attention to detail and ability to read, review and correct shop and erection drawings.
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Proven ability to collaborate and function effectively as part of a team.
