Overview
The Tool Room Clerk at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is responsible for maintaining a safe and effective learning environment by managing tools, equipment, and supplies used by students and faculty. AIM is a premier institution dedicated to advancing aviation maintenance education and training, contributing significantly to the graduation of certified aircraft technicians in America.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently issue, track, inspect, and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Implement and oversee safety programs and tool inspections.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on lost or damaged tools.
- Assemble and issue tools and materials for class projects.
- Generate a 'Lost Tool Report' for unreturned tools.
- Maintain a tool inspection and safety program.
- Control broken tools and report them to the Director of Education.
- Maintain an inspection and calibration program for precision measuring devices.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on training equipment.
- Verify adequate tools and supplies for class projects.
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing support for tools and materials.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Participate in facility and equipment maintenance activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- At least three years of experience using hand tools and equipment similar to that found in a welding shop.
- Basic computer skills including keyboarding, email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Exhibits a positive, team-oriented attitude and flexibility to work outside scheduled hours.

- Schedule: Mon- Thurs: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM OR Fri- Sun: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
